Manyetik Bant bundan 10 yıl önce kişisel bir müzikli günlük olarak, şarkılar üzerine kısa notlarla hayatına başladı. Zamanla konser ve festival yazıları, röportajlar, etkinlik rehberi, şehre ilişkin yazılar, müzik ve şehir eksenli fotoğraflarla büyüdü.
Önce Açık Radyo, sonra Radyo Eksen’de dinleyiciyle buluşan bir radyo programına adını verdi. Manyetik Bant’ta başlayan albüm değerlendirmeleri ve kültür-sanat gündemine dair yazılar, BirGün Pazar ve Cumhuriyet Cumartesi gibi yayınlara sıçradı.
Manyetik Bant’ın 10. yaşı vesilesiyle, In Hoodies’le birlikte bir süredir hayata geçirmeyi planladığımız bir illüstrasyon serisine başlıyoruz:
“Dream Gigs Illustrated”
Dream Gigs Illustrated, konser afişlerinden oluşan bir seri. Hiç gerçekleşmemiş, hayali konserler, coğrafya ya da zaman faktörü sebebiyle ıskalanmış konserler, ilk elden tanık olunmuş ve iz bırakmış konserler… Hangi yöne gideceği afişi çizen kişiye bağlı. Karşımıza David Bowie’nin Mars konseri de çıkabilir, Metallica’nın İnönü Stadyumu konseri de. Depeche Mode Kız Kulesi’nde çalabilir, Zeki Müren ve Morrissey aynı sahnede buluşabilir, Nirvana Karga’ya gelebilir, Tuğçe San Haçienda’ya, DANdadaDAN Wembley’e gidebilir. Sex Pistols’ın Manchester konseri, Johnny Cash’in San Quentin konseri yeni afişlere kavuşabilir. İhtimaller sonsuz.
Her hafta manyetikbant.me adresine eklenecek yeni afişlerle genişleyecek projenin ilk afişleri 10 Temmuz’da Selin Çınar, Bülent Gültek, Burak Beceren, Dilara Özden, Ekmel Ayar ve Ozan Aktuna’dan gelecek.

A Series of Gig Posters: Dream Gigs Illustrated
Manyetik Bant came to life 10 years ago, as a personal, musical diary with short musings about songs. In time, it grew bigger via concert and festival reviews, interviews, event guides, news about urban life, photos related to music and the city.
It became a radio show first on Açık Radyo, then on Radyo Eksen. Album reviews and articles about culture & arts found their way into national newspapers BirGün Pazar and Cumhuriyet Cumartesi.
On the occasion of Manyetik Bant’s 10th anniversary, In Hoodies and I are embarking on a project of illustrations that we’ve been planning for some time now.
“Dream Gigs Illustrated”
Dream Gigs Illustrated is a series of gig posters. Imaginary gigs that never happened, missed gigs because of time and place, gigs that are experienced first hand and have left their mark… It is up to the artist to decide. It can be a poster for David Bowie’s gig on Mars or Metallica’s gig at İnönü Stadium. Depeche Mode can play at the Maiden’s Tower, Zeki Müren and Morrissey can share the same stage, Nirvana can come to Karga, Tuğçe San can go to Haçienda, DANdadaDAN can book Wembley. The first Sex Pistols gig in Manchester or Johnny Cash’s San Quentin gig can have new posters. The possibilities are endless.
The first batch of many posters that are going to be published on manyetikbant.me every week, are coming on the 10th of July; by Selin Çınar, Bülent Gültek, Burak Beceren, Dilara Özden, Ekmel Ayar and Ozan Aktuna.
